health educators, health coaches, physicians, physician assistants, nurse navigators, case managers, medical office managers, certified nursing assistants, certified medical assistants, registered dietitians, diabetes educators, counselors, social workers, personal trainers, fitness instructors and other applicable healthcare professionals working with clients/patients for health and wellness improvement.

ALERT - The health and safety of our learners is of the utmost importance to us. We are closely monitoring the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) situation.

After much consideration and with recent circumstances changing so rapidly, Charlotte AHEC will now offer this training as a Live Interactive 3-Day Zoom event. We are fully committed to ensuring that our attendees, faculty and staff remain safe and well.

Zoom Training Dates & Times (Eastern Standard Time):
Day 1 - Wednesday, July 29, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Day 2 - Thursday, July 30, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Day 3 - Friday, July 31, 2020 - 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

***Registration ends July 28th***

In order to receive credit, all attendees must remain online for the full duration of each training day from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 a.m. Breaks will be given throughout each training day and attendance will be monitored (partial credit will not be given).

The profession of health and wellness coaching has emerged to address an urgent and widespread need to help people increase the quality and years of healthy life. This three-day Health Coach Certificate training course provides a powerful and practical framework that professionals can use with clients to support meaningful and sustainable changes for improved health and well-being. Participants will be introduced to a variety of techniques that help clients build self-confidence and motivation while addressing the barriers to identifying their own solutions and achieving their goals.

This Zoom training is interactive with frequent hands-on practical experiences, collaborative activities and feedback specifically designed to prepare you to meet the national standards of competence in health and wellness coaching.

***To be eligible for the UNC-Greensboro Health Coach Certificate, participants must first successfully complete this training and an online training evaluation. The UNC Greensboro Health Coach Certificate is an approved training that allows eligible participants to apply to become a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach (NBC-HWC) established by the National Board for Health and Wellness Coaching (NBHWC) and Board Certified Coach (BCC) through the Center for Credentialing and Education (CCE).***
