This Live Webinar Training is funded through Mecklenburg County ReCAST, a SAMHSA-funded grant initiative.
ReCAST Mecklenburg promotes resiliency and equity for youth and families in the Priority Health Areas through evidence-based, violence prevention, community youth engagement programs, and linkages to trauma-informed behavioral health services. To respond to the needs of organizations within the community, ReCAST Mecklenburg has partnered with the National Council for Behavioral Health to facilitate a year-long initiative, a Trauma-Informed, Resilience-Oriented Care Learning Community. With a day of training, three in-person meetings, a series of coaching calls, webinars and a listserv of peers and experts at your fingertips, organizations will develop the resources that respond to their organizational and community needs. Increase awareness of trauma’s impact throughout your organization and learn ideas from experts on the real-world benefits of trauma-informed care.
You’ll get the skills you need to:
• Implement trauma-informed approaches throughout your organization.
• Improve intake, screening and assessment for trauma and resilience.
• Adopt trauma-informed, resilience-oriented best practices for your clients.
• Build resilience in your workforce to prevent secondary traumatic stress and compassion fatigue.
• Make your community a safe environment where clients can heal and staff can thrive.
