Death is one of the most difficult experiences we as humans experience. It is often denied, ignored, feared. Death Doulas focus totally on the needs of the dying and their loved ones. Their mission is to provide a grounded, compassionate presence to individuals and families during this process.
You will learn about the history of Death Doulas, the modern version of what these dedicated people do, how they are trained and how they can help patients and families in those times of uncertainty.

Trish Rux, RN, CHPN
Trish Rux is certified as a hospice and palliative care nurse by the Hospice and Palliative Certification Center. She also holds certifications in focused awareness meditation, sacred passage doula, healing touch, and beyond surgery modalities.
