Description

In “An Introduction to Team-Based Care” we will review the definition of integrated, whole-person care as outlined by national experts. We will discuss how the idea of whole person care depends on a well-functioning team and highlight the principles that define well-functioning teams. From the tangible ideas of methods of communication to the more difficult to quantify, but equally important, personal qualities, such as humility, we will share the full range of components of high quality teams. Lastly, we will discuss the importance of organizational support of building and implementing team-based clinical services.
