Today’s leaders are taught to lead change, develop new processes and transform the organization. Leadership is described as the ability to emphasize the pursuit of goals and motivate others to pursue the same common goals. Great leaders inspire trust, build relationships and encourage followers. But there is little recognition among leader’s qualities in the ability to handle conflict. Conflict management is a skill that leaders must be able to employ to help foster a productive working environment. The inability of a leader to deal with conflict will not only lead to negative outcomes but can also undermine their creditability. There is a realization that conflict management should be a skill that leaders need to give priority to learning and mastering. If a leader can establish an atmosphere of cooperation and foster teamwork, making it clear that this is their value system, there is a likelihood that this value system will be adopted by the entire team. This webinar is a perfect fit for first year leaders and soon to be leaders. This is an introduction that will help you gain the conflict management skills you need to flourish in this next stage of your career. Being able to manage conflict as a leader is a critical skill for success. When conflict is managed appropriately, it can be an active force that can build healthy relationships within and between teams. Make this part of your leader's toolbox so you can use it when conflict arises within your team with others.
