Description

This virtual program, spanning two half-days, aims to help participants acquire knowledge in basic ECG interpretation. Attendees have the option to join either Part I, Part II, or both sessions. See further details below.

Basic ECG Interpretation Part I | February 27, 2025 | 9 AM - 12:30 PM
This ECG Interpretation Part I is designed to improve interpretation of ECG rhythms. A systematic approach will be utilized to identify waveforms, measurements of intervals, and calculation of heart rate. This 3-hour workshop will focus on sinus rhythms, atrial arrhythmias, heart blocks, and pacemakers. This also details the nursing responsibilities and first line treatments for common dysrhythmias.

Learning Outcome:
This program will enhance the basic knowledge of ECG interpretation.

Basic ECG Interpretation Part II | February 28, 2025 | 9 AM - 12:30 PM
Basic ECG Interpretation Part II is designed to enhance the bedside nurse’s knowledge on ECG interpretations in order to promote positive patient outcomes. This 3-hour workshop will provide participants with content that focuses on ischemic changes on an ECG, ventricular arrhythmias, left and right bundle branch block, utilization of emergency drugs, and actions for the treatment of dysrhythmias.

Learning Outcome:
The program will review normal and abnormal rhythms and treatments of dysrhythmias.
