Target Audience

Any high school student that is preparing to complete college applications.

Description

This presentation's focus is to help students create and maintain effective high school resumes to use for college applications. In this session, students will learn how to inventory, assess, and critique the activities they have completed in high school to determine if they are useful for resume inclusion. If students find that they do not have many activities, instruction will be given on how to locate more extracurricular/volunteer opportunities using online resources and local search providers. Discussion on school/life balance will be provided as well as emphasis on academic profile (GPA) vs. resume building. Students will also have access to a resume template to create and edit their high school resumes.
