Description

Join us for an enlightening session where you'll discover how to implement effective behavior management strategies using Structured TEACCHing methods. This session is designed for anyone working with children and adolescents with ASD. You'll gain insights into how ASD influences learning styles and behaviors, and learn practical techniques to prevent, analyze, and address behavior challenges.

Objectives

  • Explore how to view challenging behaviors and maintaining factors through the lens of cognitive differences common in ASD.
  • Apply this knowledge to a scenario, identifying ASD-related factors that may underlie the challenging behavior.
  • Demonstrate the ability to identify evidence-based interventions and teaching strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and increase skill acquisition/demonstration by their clients.
