The 13th Annual GI/HPB Conference is designed to update the audience regarding advances in treatment strategies in several areas of GI Disease: Liver (non-alcoholic steatohepatitis 'NASH'; Autoimmune Liver Disease; ablative surgical management of HCC; and Hepatis C+ Liver Transplants into Hepatitis C Negative Patients); GI (surveillance for Colonic Dysplasia in IBD; new therapies for Ulcerative Colitis and Celiac Disease); Nutrition Therapy in Major Abdominal Surgery (identifying & treating Perioperative Malabsorption; issues with perioperative nutrition and immuno-nutrition; and optimizing the frail surgical patient); and GI Aspects of the Opioid Epidemic (endoscopic treatment of chronic pancreatitis pain; use and efficacy of surgical blocks; and the impact of chronic opioids on GI motility and disease).
