Description

When people think about hoarding disorder, the main aspect that captures attention is often the clutter. Effective treatment, however, helps individuals not only tackle the physical consequence of this challenging mental health issue, but some of the contributing issues in its development and maintenance as well.

Combining lecture, case presentation, and brief video demonstration, this workshop will focus on key components in the cognitive-behavioral treatment model and interventions for hoarding disorder. Attention will also be given to motivation enhancement in treatment as well as special challenges in working with various populations.
