Event Description:
Respecting Choices® Advance Care Planning (ACP) Core Component is an evidenced-based program which assists participants in learning effective communication skills and techniques for facilitating person-centered advance care planning conversations.
This Course is Required One Time Only and is a pre-requisite for registering for Respecting Choices First Steps® ACP and Advanced Steps® ACP Facilitator Certification Course.
The purpose of this course is to assist participants in learning effective communication and conversation skills and techniques for facilitating person-centered conversations. These conversations have application for in-person visits and telehealth.
Course Requirements/Pre-Requisites
(Instructions for completing the following pre-course requirements will be emailed to you upon registration for this course):
• Complete Respecting Choices First Steps® ACP Facilitator Certification Online Core Curriculum (Modules 1-4); Included in registration.
• Review Learning Tool: The Exploration Phase of ACP Conversations (RC 0125)
• View ACP Introduction video
** This course is a pre-requisite that must be completed prior to attending Respecting Choices First Steps, or Advanced Steps Advance Care Planning (ACP) Facilitator Certification Course.
How to Register for Other Classes:
** Please Note: Respecting Choices First Steps and Advanced Steps Facilitator Courses may be taken in any order once you have completed the Core Component Course.
