Description

In Fall 2024, ReCAST II Mecklenburg will be partnering with the Center for Child & Family Health, NC Child Treatment Program and South Piedmont AHEC to provide the TF-CBT certification. ReCAST II Mecklenburg would like to invite you to attend one of two FREE TF-CBT Information Sessions. These sessions will provide an overview of the TF-CBT curriculum and certification process. The sessions will also explain the application and selection process for attending the training through this initiative.

The TF-CBT certification is for licensed therapists in the state of North Carolina. Individuals must hold a license (full or provisional) in good standing from a licensing board (NC Social Work Board, NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, etc).

What is TF-CBT?
Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is an evidence-based treatment for children and adolescents impacted by trauma and their parents or caregivers. Research shows that TF-CBT successfully resolves a broad array of emotional and behavioral difficulties associated with single, multiple and complex trauma experiences.

Who Should Attend?
This information session is for individuals that are interested in becoming TF-CBT certified and who engage in direct service provision for youth and families in Mecklenburg County.
