Medical assistants, dental assistants, social workers, registrars, medical record personnel, billers, coders, community health workers, telehealth professionals, unit secretaries, case managers, medical Interpreters and anyone interested in gaining a basic knowledge of medical terminology.
This course will introduce vocabulary, abbreviations and symbols used in the language of medicine. Emphasis will be focused on building medical terms using prefixes, suffixes, combining forms and word roots.
